What We Offer

Our Lactation Services

Welcome to our lactation consulting services! We understand that breastfeeding and lactation can be a deeply personal and sometimes challenging journey. Our team of dedicated and experienced lactation consultants is here to provide the support and guidance you need to make this experience as smooth and joyful as possible as you bond with your baby. We offer a range of services tailored to meet your unique needs and goals.

Personalized Lactation Consultations:

Whether you’re a new mother or experienced, our one-on-one lactation consultations are designed to address your specific concerns and challenges. We provide individualized guidance to help you establish a successful breastfeeding relationship with your baby.

Prenatal Lactation Education:

Knowledge is key to a successful breastfeeding journey, and our Prenatal Education is a crucial component in preparing expectant mothers for their upcoming breastfeeding journey. Our prenatal lactation education sessions prepare expectant mothers with the essential information and strategies to help set the stage for a positive breastfeeding experience from day one.

Weaning Support:

A lactation consultant isn’t just there for the start of your breastfeeding journey. When the time comes to wean your baby from breastfeeding, our consultants can guide you through this process with proven practices and tips, ensuring it’s as gentle and comfortable as possible for both you and your child.

Postnatal Breastfeeding Support:

After your baby arrives, our postnatal support services are available to assist you with breastfeeding challenges that may arise, such as latch problems and engorgement, as well as ways to increase milk supply. We assess and guide you through proper latching techniques, ensuring a comfortable and effective breastfeeding experience for both you and your baby.

Tongue-Tie Assessment and Release:

Breastfeeding with tongue and lip-ties can present a unique challenge if it causes poor function while feeding. We provide thorough tongue-tie assessments for babies as well as oral function exercises and offer guidance on whether a tongue-tie release procedure is necessary. Kentucky Breastfeeding Center can also help with referrals to trusted providers that will further evaluate and treat Tethered oral tissues (TOTs) if needed. We’re here to help your baby’s well-being and your own peace of mind. For more information, see our All About Ties page.
